Hercules Polishing and Plating began operations in 1971. Hercules is well known as a high quality, commercial alkaline zinc plating company. The alkaline process allows for tighter plating spec tolerances and more ductile zinc deposits.

Alkaline is preferred for deep drawn stampings because of its availability to throw deeper into complex shapes and configurations. It also allows for bending after plating unlike its chloride counterpart.

Military specs often require alkaline because of its uniform plating deposits and higher salt spray resistance. ROHS compliant chromate coatings are also available.
