LIFETIME COATINGS
As one of the first Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coaters in the country, Lifetime Coatings has a long reputation for providing brilliant and durable decorative finishes to a wide array of industries. Some of them include automotive, household appliances, plumbing fixtures, door hardware, marine fittings, casino and gaming, sporting equipment and memorabilia, medical instruments, lighting fixtures and architectural door handles.
PVD is a vacuum coating process that vaporizes solid metals into a plasma of atoms or molecules that can then be deposited as a hard coating on stainless steel or chrome materials.
The PVD process can be applied to any material electroplated with Nickel/Chrome or Stainless Steel including Steel, Aluminum, Zinc, Brass and even ABS plastics. The finish will not dull or enhance the product. Items that are polished prior to PVD, will be polished after. Likewise, items that are brushed or satin prior to PVD, will have that same finish after. The process does not level or fill in scratches, holes, dents, etc. like an electroplated finish will. PVD does not build thickness and is generally around 1 micron thick.
The finish is available in a large spectrum of colors including: Brass, Gold, Nickel, Stainless, Chrome, Black and ORB. We also have the ability to custom color match standards when the quantities are justified.
